Medical benefits for veterans will be the subject of a public forum at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Cheektowaga Town Board chambers, 3301 Broadway, Cheektowaga.The forum, sponsored by the Town Board??s Veterans Affairs Committee, will offer presentations by local officials of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and veterans organizations. Speakers will answer questions from the audience following their talks.

Council Member Thomas M. Johnson Jr., who helped organize the forum, said the meeting also will offer basic information for veterans who have not yet applied for benefits and those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
