Ottawa, Ontario (PRWEB) August 7, 2008 — A new children’s website, www.AndyCamper.com, is introducing kids to the great outdoors through an imaginative combination of ‘do it yourself’ activities and web based technologies.
“We’ve created dozens of engaging activities that are designed to help kids have fun outside,” says CEO and co-founder Andrew Milne. “AndyCamper is utilizing the internet to fuel a child’s imagination and to spark an interest in nature.”
Leveraging new media and mobile video, AndyCamper.com is a community driven web portal that was developed with input from parents and teachers.
The site’s primary audience is children between the ages of 7 and 12, but many of the activities promote and encourage adult participation.
“We see both parents and children discovering and rediscovering many of these timeless activities,” says Milne. “It’s an excellent opportunity to have fun and spend time with your kids.”
AndyCamper activities are structured so that there is something for every child, as kids can discover, collect, create and build things based on their likes and interests. All activities come with step-by-step instructions and pictures so that kids can easily follow along.
“With downloadable activity cards and mobile videos,” explains Milne, “AndyCamper makes it possible for kids to discover something new at a local park, the family cottage or in their own backyard.”
AndyCamper is based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Their team of outdoor enthusiasts and web geeks sees a future in getting kids excited about nature.
